October 11 Worship

What happens when time itself feels like it is working against us? There is a difference between the clock ticking on the wall and the weight of time pressing down on our souls. In seasons of grief, waiting, and uncertainty, a single moment can feel like a life sentence. This message takes us into the heart of that experience and asks a bold question: what if God sees our longest, hardest seasons differently than we do? Drawing from Isaiah 54, we explore how God spoke to a people who had spent over seven decades in captivity, forgotten and forsaken, and called that entire stretch of suffering just a moment compared to the everlasting kindness that was coming. The contrast between the temporary nature of our trials and the permanent nature of God's mercy is not meant to minimize our pain. It is meant to expand our perspective. When we place the length of our suffering next to the vastness of God's eternity, something shifts inside us. This is a message for anyone who has ever whispered, how long, and needed to be reminded that every midnight has an expiration date.
