We invite you to explore the life and ministry of Bethel Lutheran Church and Preschool.
Our Vision for our ministry is: "Together in Christ, To Be A Caring Presence in the Community."  Our Mission is:  "To Know Christ, To Love Christ, To Share Christ."

Bethel is a caring place where one finds support, encouragement and fellowship.  The caring flows out of our foundational value for each of us to be connected to Christ, through trust and faith and together living out a caring presence in the San Fernando Valley.  We are challenged to live with spiritual integrity--our actions matching our words, our decisions mirroring our beliefs, and our love for Jesus at the core of who we are.  Our worship, ministries and programs at Bethel are rooted  in our understanding of the Bibles teaching concerning the purpose of the Christian Church and the needs of the people in our community.  We pray God's blessing on you today and God's best in the days ahead.

In Christ's happy service,

Willis Moerer

Welcome from Director of Spiritual Growth

Greetings!

If someone were to ask me to use only three words to describe Bethel Lutheran Church and Preschool, I’d say: Love, Learning and Laughter.

There is great love within this congregation. I felt it the first time I visited, and I continue to be a grateful recipient of it. That deep-felt love – both from Jesus and among our members – makes Bethel a sanctuary of sorts in a tough and unforgiving world.

This is also a place where we learn together. We wrestle with Scripture and make it come alive in our lives, understanding that the Bible isn’t some big-ole dusty book we keep on the coffee table but rather the inspired Word of God that breathes new life into us and helps us live with incredible joy, no matter what problems we face.

And, perhaps most importantly, there’s lots of laughter here. It’s an outgrowth of our loving and learning together. It permeates this place. Just join us for coffee and pastries on a Sunday morning after worship and see for yourself. In fact, once you pull into the parking lot, just follow the sound of the laughter.

There’s real joy here. It’s deeply engrained in our lives. It comes from Jesus. And we want to share it with as many people as possible. Come visit us – and be blessed!

Be bold,
