Theatre Encino
Vision
Theatre Encino is a non-profit community based artist’s theatre. We believe deeply in the creative process and in sponsoring the production of transformative new works. We also believe that classical theatre still inspires and transforms our lives. We support classical theatre through our Classical Play Reading Series that occurs four times a year.
We are a community based theatre. Theatre Encino is set in the heart of Encino on 17500 Burbank Blvd. Being in the San Fernando Valley where the heart of Film and Television is produced. We believe in the value of going back to grassroots artistic production.
We pride ourselves in being an artist’s theatre. Our goal is to produce a minimum of four new works a year, giving new playwrights or returning playwrights an opportunity to create great new theatre.
We believe that theatre and the creative process is transformative: transformative to those creating it and to the audiences receiving the work.
